Requirements

Windows
Ratooi will work on all versions of Windows from 95 on up. Administrator rights are NOT required to install or use Ratooi.

Mac/OSx
Ratooi uses the standard SSH2 sftp protocol for client to server connections. Any SSH2 sftp client program will work.

Unix
Any Unix flavor with SSH installed and the sftp client program will work.

Firewall issues - all platforms

Note that for Rdrive, Ratooi , and RatooiBackup, access through the https port (443), OR ssh port (22) is required. This is normally not an issue because at least one of these ports is almost always allowed through firewalls. Ratooi can also be configured to work through a proxy. Proxying through SOCKS4, SOCKS5, HTTP, TELNET is supported.

For RatooiFTP, FTP ports 20 and 21 must be open.

You can test if port 443 is available on your connection by clicking here. If you see text that says "SSH-1.99-OpenSSH..." then port 443 is open and you will have no trouble connecting to Ratooi. If you did not see this message, then you may still be able to use Ratooi by configuring it to work through your Proxy server.

Ratooi can also optionally use port 22 in the case that port 443 is totally blocked, even through a Proxy server. You can test if port 22 is available by clicking here
